These can include:
- ‘Tuck-in’ service
- Sleepover night
- Sit-over night
We can provide a ‘tuck-in’ service for clients who do not require an overnight carer, but who may benefit from a one or two-hour visit during which we can help with:
- Preparing, serving and clearing away supper
- Assistance with medication
- Bathing or other personal care
- Companionship in the evening
- Helping into bed.
Our carers can provide an overnight service (22.00 until 08.00) for clients who require assistance to prepare for bed and a responsible presence in the house overnight. The carer sleeps in a separate room but is on hand to give assistance as and when required.
In addition, the carer can give the client assistance in starting the day, preparing their breakfast and giving medication where necessary.
The sit-over night is designed for clients who require more frequent assistance during the night.
The carer will remain awake overnight, sitting in the client’s room or in an adjacent room if this is preferred. The next morning, help can be given with personal care and breakfast.
